Ray of thread is a project dedicated to preserving our earth through the creation of wall hangings, plant hangers, and rugs. Each creation is made up of nearly 100% used clothing and fabric that would have otherwise been thrown away or donated to local thrift stores. Many clothes that are donated to secondhand shops are not able to be sold due to the overwhelming amount of clothing being donated, thus having potential to inevitably end up in the landfill. The goal of this project is to create handmade, personal pieces that help to divert textiles from becoming waste.
